Children's Mental Health Week 2021 - a message from our Royal Patron

Once you log in, you will have access to three different reading resources: Oxford Owl, which has a large range of e-books across all levels, Read Write Inc, which has a range of phonically progressive texts and Word Sparks, which offers audio texts. Under the parent guide there are a wealth of resources and videos, so this is really worth while to spend some time exploring.

  • Supporting children's mental health Keeping Happy and Healthy During Lockdown 1st- 5th of Feb is Share your Scarf week – supporting Children’s Mental Health Week. We're providing extra SCARF at Home resources to promote children’s mental health and celebrate the SCARF values. These simple activities for each day of the week will help children build skills and strategies to keep mentally well.

To celebrate Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week, we’ve come up with seven ways for you to express yourself throughout the week!

Shared Reading Themed around having a positive self-image and sense of self.

Spelling

Pick 5 spellings per day from the year 3/4 list or 200 HF list. Handwrite them and try to learn them (see ways to learn spellings for fun ideas). Write/ draw in your books.
