In English at Rockwell Green Church of England Primary School the children are taught to read and write using the systematic scheme of Read Write Inc. In the Early Years and KS1 they learn to form their letters following the handwriting system of Read Write Inc.
Once the children are proficient readers, they move onto the Accelerated Reader Scheme.
Children in EYFS and KS1 learn to spell using Read Write Inc and, when they are ready, move onto the Spelling Shed Scheme Spelling which is also supported at home via online activities.
