The Governing Body provides strategic leadership and accountability in schools. It has three key functions:
•Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
•Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
•Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
Governors usually serve a four year term.
At Rockwell Green, the full governing body meets 7 times a year and the separate Finance, Pay and Personnel Committee, which was formed in September 2019, meets 3 times a year. Copies of governor meeting minutes are available from the school office by request.
