You may want to continue the story,  describe the picture or draw your own creature and label it

Wednesday

Over the next 3 days we will work on creating texts which 'compare and contrast'. We will look at  language which helps us describe similarities and differences and our first theme is chocolate! Work through the powerpoint below to find out what you need to do. Today you need to plan.

There is also a word bank to help you.

Thursday

Now that you have considered the similarities and difference between your chocolates, it is now time to write a short text comparing them. You could have 2 paragraphs:

•  comparing the packaging and the second
• the chocolate itself

Remember to use the language features you looked at yesterday to organise your sentences.

Friday

Use your own knowledge and research of the Maya and the following pages on the BBC to compare similarities and differences between modern life now and life in ancient Mayan times.

Based on your work last week on angles using Mymaths, have a go at answering the questions about 90, 180, and 360 degree turns on the worksheet below. There is also a powerpoint to remind you of the different types of angles (the angle family).
