PE with Mr Parsons will take place on Wednesdays. However, children should have the appropriate kit in school every day.

Homework

The children will have three study books – Maths, English and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG). They will complete one page of each book every week. Your support with this will make a huge impact on their learning. Homework will be sent out every Thursday and must be in on the following Tuesday.  This allows time for marking work and addressing any needs.  Furthermore, all children will have a set of spellings to learn. The children will be tested on their spellings on Wednesdays. Please see a member of the Woodpecker Class team, if your child is having any difficulties with their homework.

E-Cadets

E-Cadets 1

The role of an E-Cadet is really important as we have the knowledge to help younger pupils with their understanding of E-Safety. As E-Cadets we take our role very seriously and we have a good amount of knowledge about being safe on all devices which access to the internet. In the past, we have created a green screen film informing children about how to stay safe online. It also had handy hints about what to do if any incidents happened, whilst online. We are looking forward to taking our role further this year and having more responsibility, such as giving guidance about how to use our brand new iPads. We would like to raise the profile of E-Cadets in the school to give other children a better understanding. Also, we think it is very important that the message about being safe online is spread around the school, at home and throughout our community.
