Monday 18th July 2016

Today we have said a sad goodbye to our school-leavers! We hope everyone enjoyed our little graduation ceremony and party afterwards - we are glad we had such lovely weather for it! We hope all our school leavers have a fantastic time when they start school, although we will miss you!

Thursday 14th July 2016

Today we went to Playcastle! It was very exciting to go on the coach - we had a fantastic morning! There were lots of tired out children (and adults!) when we got back to Rockets.

Tuesday 12th July 2016

Over the last few weeks we have been working towards our Wellington In Bloom entry. We have been working hard digging, planting and watering to make our garden look fabulous! Have a look at some of the photos taken over the last few weeks.

Today the school have celebrated the Queens 90th birthday so Rockets joined in! We all bought or made crowns to wear into Rockets for the day. It was very exciting and we enjoyed being Kings or Queens.

Thursday 21st April

Today is the Queens 90th birthday, and the older children were very interested hearing all about the Queen and looking at photos of her, the crown jewels and Buckingham Palace! The children enjoyed the topic so much, they decided to build Buckingham Palace out of blocks. They have also drawn some brilliant pictures of the Queen for our display.

As an activity we also had our own King and Queen and acted out a play all together. We had a royal tea party, then had a ball with music and dancing. It was great fun and we all played our roles brilliantly.

Monday 11th April

Welcome back to all our familiar faces and a big welcome to all our new children who will be starting at Rockets this week! We hope you are looking forward to joining us. This terms theme is Kings and Queens.

Thursday 24th March

Today is the last day of term before the Easter holidays. We hope you all have a lovely long break and we look forward to seeing you all back for the summer term.

Thursday 3rd March

Today was world book day! We all had lots of fun dressing up as our favourite book character and coming to Rockets as that character for the day. Even the staff dressed up, as the crayons from the book 'The Day The Crayons Quit'.

We also had a Christmas craft afternoon, with lots of Mummies and Daddies and Grandparents attending! We had a great time and we hope you did too. A special visitor also found time in his busy schedule to come and visit the boys and girls at Rockets! We were so excited to have Father Christmas come to see us and give us a present.

We had a really fun morning today! We had a special visit from Richard at PlayArt, for a dinosaur themed activity morning. We did lots of arts and crafts and had a great time. We also got to look at diosaur fossils which were 4 million years old!

Wednesday 4th November 2015

Today, for snack, we had dinosaur bread! We then decorated our bread with rice crispies, raisins and cheese. We all really enjoyed it so much we asked to have it again in the afternoon.

Also today we had a special visit from the people at Wellington In Bloom! We were told in the summer holidays we had come joint 1st, and they came to present our certificate!

Today the bigger children went off to do singing in the hall, so while they were gone, the younger children had their feet bubble wrapped! They thought it was very funny. The adults bubblewrapped our feet so we could walk in paint and STOMP like dinosaurs!

Thursday 22nd October 2015

Today is the last day of Rockets before the half term break. This morning, the older Rockets walked to the church for Harvest Festival, to watch the school children perform the songs they have been learning and practicing. They all sat and listened really well - well done Rockets!

We would like to wish you all a lovely week off and will see you back at Rockets on Monday 2nd November!

Thursday 1st October 2015

This afternoon we decided to go for a walk to explore around the school. We looked around to see all the interesting things we could find. We even found enough conkers for us all to have one each! Kelley tried putting one of the shells back together to see what they looked like before they fell. Kelley also said we should all hug the trees - which we found very funny! Take a look at some of our photos to see what we discovered.

Tuesday 8th September 2015

We had such fun making our snack today! We painted bread to make colourful toast. Take a look at all our beautiful creations.
