Lashing Lightning Smashes Cornwall

Reported by Erin

A fisherman went out into a chaotic storm and caught enough fish for life a time. Tom Bawcock took his cat with him.

On a stormy day in Mousehole, a small fishing village in Cornwall in the south west of England, Tom saved the village.

Just before Christmas in December there was absolutely NO FOOD! Mr Bawcock explained to his cat, “Mowzer my handsome we have to go fishing, tomorrow early in the morning into the ferocious storm!”

Mr Bawcock is over 60 years old and has a cat. “Not all of the villagers agree with me but I think Mowzer the cat helped the amazing fisherman” exclaimed one of the villagers.

Tom Bawcock says, “This is the worst storm in 100 years, I’ve never seen anything like it.” Some people think he’s a hero.

Tom caught a boatful of fish and took the safest route back to harbour. When Tom and Mowzer got back they had a massive fish festival.
