Cat calms terrible storm

A brave fisherman and a black and white cat save Mousehole from a terrible storm.

Recently, there was a terrifying and horrific storm across the South West of England. Along the coast of Cornwall fishing boats were sunk by the horrid and damaging storm. In one small coastal village called Mousehole, the high harbour wall protects the fishing boats in their home havens.

The man who saved the village is called Tom and he has a cat called Mowzer. He went out and braved the fury of the terrific storm.

I asked Tom a few questions. My first question was why did you take Mowzer with you? “She comes everywhere with me.” Why did you go out in the storm? “I wanted to help the village.”

He caught hundreds of sea water fish like ling, cod, pilchards and fairmaids. Tom’s boat was so full that it almost sank!

When Tom got back everyone was overjoyed to see him. Hundreds of lanterns were shimmering in the darkness on the harbour wall. They had an amazing party and they ate morgy broth and half a hundred star gazy pies.
