A man and a cat saved a village in Cornwall of starvation.
Recently there was a terrible storm across the south west of England. Along the coast of Cornwall fishing boats were sank by the damaging storm. In one small village called Mousehole, the high harbour wall protected the fishing boats in their home harbours.
A local fisherman called Tom and his black and white cat called Mowzer saved Mousehole by going fishing in a horrific storm. I asked Tom, “why did you go out in the storm?” and he replied “everyone was starving so I helped them.” He added “All the young men have families and mine are long gone.’’ I asked him another question, “how didn’t your boat fill up with water in the scary storm? He replied, ‘‘it did fill up a little bit but not enough to sink the boat’’ the of hero’s mousehole got back to the village and there all eat star-gazy pie.
Tom and Mowzer are the heroes of Mousehole and all the local villages are very pleased that Tom and Mowzer got them lots of food.
